Do you ever feel like you were born in the wrong century? Does the modern day-to-day life leave you feeling overwhelmed and nostalgic about a “simpler time?”
Then this is the community for you!
I started this website to create a refuge and resource for those of us who think that the past holds tons of treasures for us to discover and learn from.
Here, we get back to basics. We learn from past successes and failures to grow our skills, our values and our families.
George Santayana is famous for having said, “those who ignore the past are condemned to repeat it.”
So true! But here we take that thought even a little further and say, “Those who ignore the past will lose it.” And by that I mean we’ll lose even the good stuff!
At The Enduring Home, I share a bit of what I’m learning as we struggle to create a home life that is fulfilling, real, and tangible.
We delve into making a true home, gardening, growing family values, raising kids who can endure (and have manners!), homemaking, being content with what we have (frugality), being debt free, etc.
A bit about me – I am a stay-at-home mother of three great kids and wife to one patient and amazing husband. We home-school, attempt to eat healthy, and dream about living in the country. It’s our desire to love God and serve Him in all things.
Now, a bit about you! I’d love to meet you. Please shoot me an email or leave a comment. Let’s grow together.
Modern times often demolish the very heart of our humanity. In this tiny corner of the world, I seek to offer back a bit of what I have found to be true…to offer hope. I pray that you will find that here…
